Why Tamron Hall needed a boost

I got to work early one morning and was shocked to get to the end of our media writer’s column to find he had slipped in a bit about local (now national) newscaster Tamron Hall’s breast augmentation. At first, I couldn’t believe Rob Feder, whose office was two doors down from mine, deemed this news. Then, I couldn’t believe someone so beautiful in every objective sense of the term, would feel the need to “improve” herself. So, I did what any journalist would do…I called Tamron to ask her. I had intended on pitching a story at the morning manager’s meeting that would address how beautiful women process what most consider a gift. I had already done some research on beauty image and had asked a reporter to write a story about how researchers shown on the Discovery Channel created a downloadable rubric to measure beauty. The story ended up being a short piece, but the topic was certainly a watercooler issue for a couple of days. Click the image to view the story up close.
